"Bibi June is a poet, theatre maker and producer. They run spoken word theatre company ‘In The Works’, and their work focusses on climate justice, queerness, and post-capitalist worlds. Their second poetry pamphlet ‘Critique of the Criminal Justice System’ came out with Stewed Rhubarb in October, and their queer Glaswegian horror podcast ‘Folxlore’ was named one of The Atlantics’ ’50 Best Podcasts of 2020’. They have performed their collaborative spoken word theatre shows all throughout the UK and Ireland, in venues ranging from grimy pub basements to theatres to local city busses. They produce Ellen Renton’s ‘Within Sight’, a one-woman show on disability and the Paralympics, the film of which recently debuted as part of the Southbank Centre’s Unlimited Festival."
